Title: From Lukov With Love
Author: Mariana Zapata
Genre: Sports Romance

If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.

I really don’t know where to start with this review, there are so many things that need to have their spotlight, but I can’t pick one moment that I love and adore the most, there are just to many, and it’s hard to pick one. Let’s start with the fact that this is my first buddy read,(with Milica’s Bookshelf) and that this is my second book by Mariana Zapata, and I can say that Mariana easily became one of my favorite author after reading The Wall Of Winnipeg And Me. Her stories are addictive, both books are my favorite, but I think From Lukov With Love kinda trumps my love for The Wall Of Winnipeg And Me, but not much.

FROM LUKOV WITH LOVE is a story about following your dreams and working hard towards achieving those dreams. The theme of this book is enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, and those types of books are kinda my favorite. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this book, I can’t because I can’t find any flaws. The story is well-paced, beautifully written, the characters are developed nicely and the chemistry between characters is very evident. I really really love this story and the characters. Really this book left me speechless, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This book left me happy and so in love, and I can’t wait to read more book Mariana.

Let me be honest at first, I liked Ivan, I didn’t love him, but liked him. But slowly with every chapter, I fell more and more in love with him, the more I learned about him, the more I loved him. Ivan, at first is a very mysterious person, we don’t know much about him, we only know the things Jasmine knows about him, but together with Jasmine, we learned more about him. About his private life that he keeps hidden from his public, we learn about his huge love for Jasmine, we learn thing that Jasmine didn’t know. We learned that even when they bicker like little kids, that Ivan was very protective of Jasmine. With ever passing chapter we learn how much Jasmine means to him, and how much he loves her, appreciates her and cares for her.Even though he seems cocky,he isn’t conceited, or self-centered, he’s caring, hard-working  and loves teasing Jasmine and there so many sides to him. He understands Jasmine, and he sometimes sees himself in her, he went through almost same struggles as her and he knows how hard Jasmine works to be the best at her craft, even when some people are against it. He understands her because he does the same thing every day.

“You’ve been in my life for thirteen years. How could you think I don’t care about you? We fuck around with each other because we both like it. Because there’s nobody else we can fuck around with that can handle it.”

JASMINE is a hardworking and a very family oriented person. I fell in love with Jasmine the moment I met her. The part that drew me to her the most that she’s loyal and loves her family, but she struggles with expressing her love, she sometimes takes them for granted. But beneath the hard exterior. and bad ass attitude, she hides a heart made of gold, that holds so much love for the she cares the most about.

You either love her or hate her. She’s just an amazing person all around. She’s completely dedicated to things she loves, she’s dedicated to her dreams. When she was a little girl she knew she wanted to be a figure skater, and she dedicated her life to skating. She has been in figure skating for as long as she can remember, but being twenty-six and without a partner, the thought of quitting crosses her mind, but Jasmine isn’t a quitter, so when the chance to skate professionally again comes her way, she immediately accepts, the only problem is that she has to skate together with a person that she can’t stand, Ivan Lukov, even though her best friend is his sister and that they have known each since they were teenagers, the loathing between them stayed, even when they grew up. But if she wants to win a medal, she has always wanted, she has to compromise and work together with Lukov, to achieve her dream. So when Ivan suggest that they become friends, she dumbfounded, because how can they friends, when for so many years, they said so many cruel words to one another. But the more she learns about him and the more time she spends with him, she slowly falls in love with him, and she realizes that they are more alike then she thought.

“You are who you are in life, and you either live that time trying to bend yourself to make other people happy, or… you don’t.”

I freaking love the banter between Iva and Jasmine, they have so much chemistry between them even when their fighting. they often hurt each other with words, and they sometimes make feel safer than they felt before. they allow themselves to be open to each other, to show the weakness, their dark thought. They help each other and in the end, they can lean on each other for support. Even thought they were enemies, (that’s a strong word for it) in the end they became best friends, not just best friends, but lovers also. When they finally get together, you can easily see how much Ivan craves Jasmine, and you can see that Jasmine feels the same. I really love Jasmine and Ivan as friends but I also loved them as lovers. Ivan cares and loves Jasmine, above all else Jasmine also loves Ivan. Mariana easily made me fall in love with them. What can I say, they are very likable characters.

“If I had to choose anyone to help me bury a body, eat dinner with, or watch television with, it would be you, every time for everything.”

FROM LUKOV WITH LOVE is a standalone, but it’s in the same universe as Dear Aaron but you don’t have to read it to fully enjoy From Lukov With Love. But you can read however you like. All I can say, fans enemies-to-lovers and slow burn this is perfect book for you and I really hope that ypou’ll read it because you will make you laugh, and will make you fall in love with it’s story and characters. So I highly recommend this book.

Mariana Zapata began writing love stories soon after she learned how to spell. She probably shouldn’t admit that she started sneaking romance novels from her aunt’s bookshelves way before she was old enough to even understand what it meant when a man flipped up a woman’s skirt. (Don’t tell her mom.) She is a New York Times and USA Today Best Seller, and reached #7 on Amazon’s Author Ranking in 2016. Her book The Wall of Winnipeg and Me was a #1 Amazon Overall Best Seller, and was chosen as a 2016 Goodreads Choice Award nominee and also included on Amazon’s Best Books of 2016 for Romance. Wait for It reached #2 on the Amazon Overall Best Seller list and stayed in the top 100 for six weeks; it was chosen as a 2017 Goodreads Choice Award nominee in the Romance category. Dear Aaron was a top 10 Amazon Overall Best Seller and stayed in the top 100 for six weeks.

Mariana is a native Texan living in a small town in Colorado with her husband and two beloved (and emotionally manipulative) Great Danes, Dorian and Kaiser. When she’s not pretending to write, she’s reading. You can usually find her burning somewhat edible experiments in the kitchen or cracking jokes at the expense of her family members.

BOOK REVIEW | As I Am by Melissa Collins

Title: As I Am
Author: Melissa Collins
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: April 25th 2018

Chase Hansen. Broke. College drop out. Male stripper.

My life wasn’t at all what I imagined it would be. I should have been finishing up college, interning with a well-respected business, partying with my friends. But instead, I was raising my seventeen year old brother, struggling to make ends meet. Love wasn’t even on my radar. Besides, what did I have to offer? A few crumpled singles pulled from my G-string? Defeated and exhausted, I knew I had zero chance of finding someone to love me just as I am.

Noah Carpenter. Angry. Betrayed. Doctor.

Just when I thought my life was going exactly as it should, everything turned upside down. With my final rotation in medical school complete, I finally achieved my lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. What I never expected was to catch the man of my dreams in our bed with the man of his. Beyond infuriated, I struggled to piece together the remnants of my life. Just when I’d decided to give up on love altogether, I found a man who loved me just as I am.

As I Am is my first book by Melissa Collins, and I can tell you that I loved this book so much, the characters, the plot and the love story between Chase and Noah left me breathless. Over the few past months I had hard time finding a M/M romance that can keep my attention, for now I have few M/M Romance authors that I follow religiously, and plan on adding Melissa to my list. Because with this book she easily made me love her writing and everything.

AS I AM is a book about healing, moving on and finding someone who will love you with all your flaws and imperfection. And that’s what this book does, it makes you feel so many emotions,it’s not like some other M/M romances that only concentrates on sex,it’s more emotional and more heartwarming than the rest, but it still has it’s sexual aspect. This book has it’s flaws and imperfections, but those flaws in the end build the plot to be better and more emotional. I am hoping that Melissa will write more books that are as great as this one, and that she will continue to write in the M/M romance genre. As I Am is imperfectly perfect story about characters that are also imperfectly perfect. Both characters with it’s own flaws and both of them striving for the same thing, pure love, they are both looking for someone that will love them for who they are and not try to change them.

Chase was a happy guy with a full ride to college, the world at his feet, but all of that changes after an car accident that claims the life of his parents, driving him to quit college at his last semester so he can take care of his younger teenage brother. When the insurance of their parents runs out, Chase turns to his best friend Gavin, who helps him find a job, he thought he would never step his foot in, male stripping. Chase knows that he needs money to take care of his brother and himself, even though it meant put his pride aside, he accepts the job. What he didn’t think it would ever happen to him, is finding love in a strip club. And he does, when sees Noah for the first time hes completely captived by him, he deep inside knows that he has to have him. Oh and he does, he falls madly in love with Noah. Noah helps realize that he can still do what he always wanted to do. With Noah’s help he becomes the man he always wanted to be
Noah was broken, betrayed, hunted by the past that doesn’t want to leave him alone. Cheated by the boyfriend that he thought he loved. He does everything in his power to be a good man, for himself and for the others around him. But after the betrayal he’s left in pieces, struggling to pick the broken parts. But when he meets Chase all of that changes, somehow, slowly Chase helps him realize what true love is, and that all he ever longed for, he was able to find with Chase. Noah, as a person is very caring and very down to earth guy, he cares so much for the people who mean something to him. I love that part of him, I love that he was able to be there for both Chase and Benny.

You’re all I ever ask for.

Chase & Noah are a couple that were meant to be. They are there for each other through thick and thin. They have great chemistry, they fit together perfectly. They know that they can lean on each other, when they couldn’t do that before. They love each other more than they ever loved before. Being together felt right for them, simply like it was written in the stars that they should be together and have a happy future together, which they do.

He was the strength I needed, the warmth I never thought I’d have.

Overall, I loved this story so much, and the characters that play a major part in this book. Both Chase and Noah deserve a lot of love, and I hope that you will give them a chance to woo you and make you love them as much as I did. AS I AM is a standalone and as far as I know its not a partof a series. So I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good emotional M/M novel.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.

ARC REVIEW | Where Bad Girls Go To Fall by Holly Renee

Title: Where Bad Girls Go To Fall
Author: Holly Renee
Series: The Good Girls Series #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 21st 2018

Nothing good came from listening to my heart.
It was careless and irrational and became way too invested when I read a romance novel.
So I put her under lock and key.

I only had a few rules, and I always stuck with them.
1. Never get attached.
2. Always run before the feels become contagious.
3. No matter what, under no circumstances, never fall in love.

He was a playboy who ran by the same set of rules.
What we had together was fun, it was hot, and it was temporary.
Until he screwed everything up.
We were never meant to be each other’s happily ever after, but the harder I tried to push him away, the further I fell.

4,8 STARS!!

Where Bad Girls Go To Fall is my first book by Holly Renee. And I can say that I regret not reading any of her previous books. As far as I know, there is a one more book in the series, which I plan on reading in the upcoming day. But first and foremost, I liked the book very much.

WHERE BAD GIRLS GO TO FALL was very enjoyable and fun, but it was also emotional and sexy. It has it’s good points and it’s bad points, but the good points in the end overruled the bad points. The book was all fun and games in beginning, until it became serious and super emotional, my heart broke but it was healed back up in the end.

Mason is a playboy, a manwhore, “love them then leave them” type of guy. He swore to himself, that he will follow his rules, without any exception. He didn’t expect that to change anytime soon. But that changes the moment he receives a nude picture from his sister’s best friend, which was mistakenly sent to him instead of other person. The moment he sees the picture, he loses his mind, because in that moment he knew that he was in for a hell of a ride. After he becomes relentless in pursuing Staci. Slowly he learns that Staci isn’t all that she portraits to be, he realizes that she has so many other side to her. And all of that slowly makes him fall in love with her, making him break all of his rules. But when Staci becomes cold to him, he’s confused because finally found somebody that completed him, and she’s slowly slipping through his grasp. He tries all that he can to get her back, even she injured him, hurt him, he still wanted her. When he learns Staci’s secret, he’s angry beyond compare and he, in that moment realizes that even though Staci is strong and independent, he will do anything to protect her and treasure her. Because he loved her more than he loved anyone else.

“I had been with a lot of women, too many to count really, but I had never seen a woman as sexy as Staci. How had I not realized it until now?

Staci is strong and independent, fearless and feisty. But there is a side of her that nobody know, not even her best friend or her co-workers. And she does anything in her power to hide her vulnerable side and her scary past. But sometimes those pretenses fall and she crumbles. She puts on brave face so she doesn’t have to face her past. She buries herself in tattooing and romance novels, where she feels like she’s the boss of her own life, but she knows that she won’t be able to move on with her life until she faces her past and defeats it. Mason makes her realize that if she doesn’t do that, that she would lose him, the only thing that ever made feel like she belong somewhere. Even though Mason made her mad, he also made her feel loved and treasured like she never felt before. It might not seem like that in the books, but if you read between the lines you will see what I saw. Staci is an amazing character that has her flaws, but is also a very good person, who’s loyal to her family, to her friend and anyone who means something to her. She’s also dedicated to her work and she’s a hardworking person who strives for best. So I can that I really loved her characters and her story.

There was nothing in the world that I wanted more in that moment than him, but he was already getting closer than I typically ever let any other guy.

The relationship between Mason and Staci, is at first based on sex, but their relationship becomes something more very easily. At first they try to be friends, but that thought vanishes the moment the feelings get involved. Mason tries to hard to show Staci that they can be good together, but Staci is reluctant and hesitant to try, because the only thought on her mind is that she might hurt him, and he might leave her the moment finds out the truth about her past. Which she tries so hard cover, to not show it to anyone, because she fears their view of her might change, and people might leave. But Mason pushes on, and on. Until she confesses to him, telling something that she has been fight with for some part of her life. Mason doesn’t leave, he stays with woman he loves. Their relationship is beautiful, their chemistry is intoxicating. And their love for each other is beautiful in all it’s flaws.

I let her take and take and take until I wasn’t sure what I would have left to give her. It was heaven and hell.

Overall, I really liked this book. It was very enjoyable read and I can’t that I might re-read this book in future.
WHERE BAD GIRLS GO TO FALL is a standalone and t can be read without reading the previous book but I truly recommend you read and the previous book because you won’t be disappointed. I hope you take the time to read it and love in it’s glory.

Enter the Twin Estates’ resident bad boy, Landon Edenhoff. When he offers her an all expenses paid vacation, she’s immediately suspicious – he’s rarely nice and his intentions are never good. But she’s ready for a change of scenery and knows she can give as good as she gets from Mr. Rude & Nasty himself.

After all, how bad could this neighbor really be?

Before I start this review, I want to say that I didn’t read the first three books, so I don’t know anything about the other characters, and I might have gotten spoiled, before I even got to them, but I can say that I don’t regret reading this book before reading the first three books, I don’t regret it just because I loved this books, and this book was freaking extraordinary.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is really intriguing. It’s dark, gritty but it’s also funny and emotional. At first, let me be honest, I thought that it would be all about sex, but it turned out that the story had more depth than just sex. It had feelings, love and whole lot of emotions. This story also has an amazing and engaging plot, fantastic writing, likable characters and a beautiful and heartbreaking love story. I loved the book so much that I read it in one go. Before I even started reading the book, I saw reviews (I know you aren’t supposed to read reviews before reading the book) that spoke very fondly and positively of the book, and the blurb intrigued me. I can say that I wasn’t disappointed, because this book made me feel so much emotion, it made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry, but in the end it all went well. I came out alive.

I often asked myself through out the book, why Tori like Landon. I was really confused. He was a drug addict, he drank a lot, and was a good-for-nothing douchebag, so I thought how could anyone like him, or even want to be near him. Even though he did bad things without a second thought for who he might be hurting along the way, even though the reason he brought Tori with him out of selfish reasons, he saw that he couldn’t do that to her. The moment I realized why Landon brought Tori with him, I was afraid that he wouldn’t realize his mistake before it’s too late. But little by little, he started to change, he started to fall in love with Tori. His relationship with Tori, showed him that he has a chance to change, to set his life on the right track, before it all goes completely haywire. He grew up, he took responsibility for his actions, and he did everything he could to show Tori that he was good enough for her, that he was good enough for her love. I am actually super proud of him, and even though I thought he was a major douchebag in the beginning, he redeemed himself, and showed us that he can be good.

“I’m going to be very mean to you, and you’re going to love every minute of it.”

I straight up loved Tori, she’s by far my most favorite character in this book. She’s the girl that is everyone’s best friend. She’s feisty, she’s smart, fun and she brought me to tears with her sassiness. She’s the person everyone everyone goes to, but when she needs them, everyone turns their back, in that aspect she kinda reminds me of myself. Tori had her heart and her mind set on Liam Edenhoff, but when he fells in love with another person who wasn’t her, she tries so hard to give up on him and the fantasies she deluded herself with. Enter Landon, Liam’s twin brother, with an amazing proposal. A proposal to get rid of Liam of her mind, and dive into something new. Even though she knows that Landon is bad for her, and he’s completely opposite of what she looked for in a man. He’s brash, rude, nasty. But when he offers her a all expense paid trip to Bali. She accepts even though she knows what kind of man he is. She went with a thought that she’s the only one that can put Landon in his place. At least that’s what she thought. I loved how she called Landon on his shit, that she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She was strong even when her world was falling apart, she was strong enough to pick up her broken pieces and move on. She’s overall a brave and strong heroine.

“I’m not brave enough to say I love you yet,” she whispered into the darkness. “But I really, really like you, Dr. Edenhoff.

Stylo easily made me fall in love with Tori and Landon and also with their love story. The love between Landon and Tori is very addictive and beautiful. Landon and Tori are total opposite but still both of them need major changes in their life, so they can get back on track, neither of them knew that what they needed to change their life was each other, to make each other stronger, together and separately. Even though their love story is an emotional roller coaster, the part that plays a more important role was the chemistry between them. They went through many things together, they put each other through the wringer but in the end, they decided that being together was better than being alone. Watching them evolve and yet stay true to themselves was fascinating to read.

“I was lost, and you found me, so I guess that makes us even.”

This book was a hell of a ride, through all the ups and downs, both of them managed to get back stronger and smarter, and that’s what I loved about this story. I haven’t read the first three books but I will read them the moment I get the chance, because all of these characters pulled me in, and they won’t let me go. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH is a standalone, that can be read without reading the rest of the series, but I really recommend you read the whole series, because you won’t regret it.

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since … forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

10 STARS!!

First thing I have to say is that I am so freaking glad I took the time to read this amazing book. The whole book was a wonderful journey, and I can’t still believe how many times I re-read the book. So much that I couldn’t even post the review on time.
WHEN SINNERS KNEEL is a beautiful and a brilliantly written story about healing, second chance at love, but most of all, a story about not letting your past control your future, and realizing that you can change your life if you have someone to support and love you no matter what, and that’s the relationship we see between Beau and Lex.

To compare When Sinners Kneel to the first series is completely impossible. WSK and Blackest Gold are completely different. Beau and Tensley are completely different. Molly and Lex are completely different. Where Tensley is ruthless, Beau us savage. If Tensley is east then Beau is west. That’s how much their personalities are different, the only thing they have in common, is that they fiercely love the people that mean the most to them.

What I loved the most about Beau is how hard he tried to change his ways, to stop living in the past, in the past that was so cruel to him, he changed just so he can be with Lex, so he can be good for Lex. He tries to better himself, day by day. He does that because he knows that his soul was poisonous and he could see what he was doing Lex, it hurt her as well him, because he was slowly losing the woman who change his view on life and future, because of her, he decided to change his whole life, because of her, he was no longer lonely, he had her by his side. And that meant the world to him. He fell in love with her even if he shouldn’t have, because his past haunted him even after so many years. The loss of the woman and his unborn child made him believe that there was no happy ending for him, that he would always be stuck in one place, but all of that changes the moment he starts having feelings for Lex. Slowly his whole perspective changes, his priorities change, and slowly the past that has haunted him day in and day out seemed fade in background and all that matter was Lex. And he did all to protect her, because she became the only meaningful thing in his life. I really love Beau, all of him, even his bad sides, because you can see that he’s a good guy deep down.

“There was nothing more dangerous than a heartless beast.”

Lex is a woman that every woman should strive to be she’s strong, brave and independent and she goes after what she wants, she’s fiercely protective of the people she cares about and she would do anything to protect them, even if it meant putting herself in danger. Growing up alone, left by her parents, she struggling to survive in the cruel world. But all of that taught her a valuable lesson, and that’s that sometimes, when you’re left on your own, and need to learn how to keep you head high. Which she did learn, at very young age. She spent days, months, years only depending on herself, and that made her stronger and braver. She never had anyone to care for her, to protect her, but once she found somebody to love, she protected them with all her might. And that’s what I admire her for. I admire her because she showed that nothing could bring her down, even when she suffered she put on brave face, and she always came out as winner.

I see you as a temptation. A sinner’s elixir. Cucciolo.

Beau’s and Lex’s life intervenes perfectly. Their love for each other is primal almost animalistic, but still their love contains so much emotion, you could actually feel it with every page you turn. Rebecca always knows how to show so much emotion and love between main characters and it’s no different with Beau and Lex. She gave them the happy ending they deserved, because they suffered enough and it was time for them to get their happy ending. They are meant to be and I am happy that after all the things they went through they were able to find their way to each other.

“In the darkness, in the chaos, we found comfort in each other.”

Overall, I loved the book completely and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series, especially Seto’s book. I would totally recommend this book to everyone, even to those who don’t read paranormal romance, just open yourself and try because this is wonderful journey that I know that everyone will love and enjoy it as much as I did.

R. Scarlett lives in a small quaint town in Southern Ontario, Canada and has an unhealthy obsession with mythology and romance.

From studying English literature and minoring in History, she loves losing herself in a good book and snuggling up to her Brittany Spaniel.

When she’s not writing or plotting a delicious novel, she can be found hanging out with friends and family, going on long car rides, exploring small towns, or watching reruns of Sex and the City.

His sudden presence in her life is both good—he’s brilliant, witty, and warm—and bad—he’s brilliant, witty, warm, and hot as —-. But as perfect as Lucian seems, he’s got problems of his own. He’s taken up drinking and he’s brazenly inserted himself into Evey’s life, going against the greatest cosmic law ever created.

For Evey, the rules are simple: You are not allowed to hook up with your guardian angel. But sometimes fulfilling your destiny requires a leap of faith, a confrontation with God.

Yes, God as in God.

I am so freaking glad I took the time to read this amazing book. And I am kinda sad that this is my first book by Renee Carlino. And I still can’t believe that I read this book in around 5 hours without taking a break, except for a coffee. I still can’t believe how wonderful and amazing the journey of this book was.

LUCIAN DIVINE is very exceptional, and beautifully written story about unconditional love , beauty , passion and humor . Lucian Divine is categorized as a paranormal romance , but let me tell you it’s just as brilliant as contemporary, maybe even more. To those who have never read a paranormal romance, have to tell you to open your mind and read this beautiful. I really highly recommend it to everyone. This book is truly a masterpiece and the talent this author is astonishing.

Lucian has been a guardian angel for almost two thousand years and never has a soul, a person he’s protecting affected him so much. he shouldn’t have fallen in love with Evey. He shouldn’t have felt the feelings he has for her. Lucian has been protecting and watching over Evey since the moment she was born. And by the time she grew into the woman she was today, he was in love with her, every part of her. But guardian angels shouldn’t, couldn’t fall in love with the person they are watching over, but he couldn’t stop himself. He was in love with her and he would do anything to be with Evey, even if it means breaking God’s rules, by revealing himself to Evey and telling her that he’s her guardian angel. He never expected that in short time Evey would feel the same about him. He was surprised and he fell more and more in love with her, until he realized that he couldn’t live without her anymore. he no longer believed in the rules God has set, because to him Evey meant more than anything. Let me tell you I loved Lucian so much, he was perfect and wonderful. I loved the way he shows his love for Evey, the way he describes his feelings for Evey, I loved every little part of him. Renee did an amazing job with Lucian, and he’s part of the story.

Evey has had her fair share of bad luck and bad love, and she’s ready to put all of that behind her. For a few years now, she has been living in San Francisco with her roommate Brooklyn, trying to make it in fashion industries. After one disastrous date after another, she decided to take a pause from dating, until she meets a handsome drunk man, who claims to be her guardian angel. Immediately she thinks that he has lost his mind, and that she was stupid to invite a crazy person into her apartment, but when he disappears and appears with a second, she can’t help but believe him. But after some time Lucian decided that is better to erase her memory and leave her alone, even if it kills him to be away from Evey, but it all backfires when Evey starts remember her guardian angel, the man she kinda fell in love with. So when he appears infront she begs him to never leave her again, and slowly she falls more and more in love with her guardian angel.

But as the time passes and their love grows, the problems become to much to avoid, and the more it affects their love. Will they be able to fight for each other, or will they lose each other too soon?

I don’t have many words to describe how much I liked, loved this book. It was so unique and original, and really worth of reading and enjoying.

REVIEW | Written In The Scars by Adriana Locke

written-in-the-scars-ebook-coverTitle: Written In The Scars
Author: Adriana Locke
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 20th 2016
Cover Design: Kari March Designs
Photographer: Lauren Perry, Perrywinkle Photography
Cover Model: Ghent Scott

Falling in love is easy.

Falling out of love is the hardest thing in the world.

And Elin and Ty Whitt are terrible at it.

The first time the local basketball star smiled at Elin, she was a goner. It was just so damn easy to fall for the dark-haired hometown hero with his charming smile and strong, athletic build.

Thousands of sleepy smiles, aimless drives down country roads, and squeaks of the backdoor after a swing shift later, reality hits. And it hits hard. Falling in love was definitely the easy part. Watching it break apart was impossible.

Through the tears, the second-guesses, the memories of a life built together, the world keeps spinning. With each turn comes clarity and hope—sometimes in the form of a pair of muddy boots by the back door or from the words of a wise friend.

When Ty shows back up with a new found determination to put his family back together, Elin’s torn between the fights of the past and the possibility of a new start. This is the man that holds her heart, the man she loves beyond anything else. But this is also the one person in the world that can cause her the most pain.

Life’s not always easy. Love’s not for the faint of heart. But with life comes lessons and Ty and Elin have the scars to prove it. But it’s their love written in those scars that will hold them together … or break them apart.

Written In the Scars broke me in a way, that no other book ever did. The moment I started reading this book I was surprised, mesmerized with the beautiful writing, that seemingly caught me attention immediately, and it kept me til the very ending. I couldn’t put this book down and now I am huge mess and I don’t know what to do. I was left speechless by end, I couldn’t believe what I read, from beginning this book gripped my heart, and even in those heart wrenching moment, it was beautiful, inside and outside.

I have read so many books, and almost no book can compare to this book. Written In The Scars grips your soul and makes you feel so much. This story isn’t just about love, it’s also about friendships, second chances but most of all life and learning from the mistakes you have made. Because sometimes life is scary, sometimes life is hard. and we usually make mistakes in those moments, and sometimes those mistakes leave scars and bruise, we in those moments push everyone away, and make the healing slower, but if we are lucky to find someone like Ty has found Elin, that someone could make our journey a little less painful. They would pick us up when we’re down, they would help us pick the broken pieces. They share laughter, pain and love with us. They make our lives worth a while. Love makes it worth a while, and love changes us, but even love requires work, trust, honesty and even a little heart break.

Ty and Elin have been married for seven years, they had a happy marriage until the problems began. Problems that forced Ty to leave Elin and their marriage in pieces. That was Ty’s mistake, a mistake that would almost cost him his marriage and the love of his life.

Loving her is so damn easy. It’s as natural as breathing or the beating of a heart.

Elin was in love with Ty, since the day they meet in highschool and even today she loves him more than anyone else, even today when he broke her heart and left, she still loved him. He left her alone, to pick up the broken pieces of her heart, her pain and her lost child. After almost two months Elin has finally been able to move on, but as if Ty knew she moved on, he barges into her life again. Make her feel bitter pain she felt the moment he walked out of the door. Even though she still loves him, she won’t give in so easily.

Scars stick around to prove you showed up for life. That you lived. That you fought. That you loved.

Ty has been in love with Elin, since the day he can remember. Ty was utterly happy with Elin, until problems came. He hoped that somehow they would be able to fix the damage, but problems kept piling on and on. The fights, the miscarriage, drove them apart but what ruined them was Ty’s severe injury at work that almost cost him his life. Unable to do anything, or to help Elin, he watches the love of his life, work and slave herself to take care of him, he felt useless, because to him that wasn’t the way the things are suppose to go, he should be taking care of her, not the other way around. So he though that by leaving, he was helping Elin, but what he didn’t realize was that he ruined her and their marriage. After almost two months Ty realizes that he can’t go on without Elin, so he returns, with one goal in his mind, to fix his marriage with Elin. But it turns out that it won’t be that easy, many road blocks and heartbreak are standing in his way. Will Ty be able to fix his marriage and make Elin love him again?

The writing, the character portrayal, the delivery was so beautiful, exemplary even. The feelings this book gave me are indescribable. This story isn’t just about Elin and Ty, it’s also about their love, their family, their mistakes and also about their second chance to rediscover themselves.

REVIEW | Pretty Stolen Dolls by Ker Dukey & K. Webster

picsart_09-29-11-30-16Title: Pretty Stolen Dolls
Author: Ker Dukey & K. Webster
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: September 26th 2016

Benny loves his pretty little dolls.
As long as they do exactly as they’re told.
He keeps them perfect by brushing their hair
and gives them pretty dresses to wear.
He likes to toy with them late at night.
One so timid but the other likes to fight.
When his favorite doll runs away…
despite the other doll promising to stay,
his heart becomes broken and he can’t help but cry.
He wants her back home or his pretty little doll must die. Have you ever had to make a decision that haunts you every single day for the rest of your life…the life you stole back?
I have.
I ran for my survival, rocks and twigs cutting into the soles of my feet, my lungs burning and screaming for rest, every muscle tensed and fighting along with me for existence.
I left her.
I ran, ran, ran—from Benny and his lone, pretty little doll—until I couldn’t remember where to find them again.
I’m sorry.

I was extremely surprised when I read this book, it was really intriguing and scary. This might have been my first book by Ker Dukey, but I know what to expect from K. Webster, her darkness is always so consuming and mind blowing, and I would recognize her work anywhere. From the moment I started reading Pretty Stolen Dolls, I got addicted and drawn to it. The story is dark, twisted and scary.

Jade Phillips is a strong person on the outside, but on the inside she’s crumbling, falling apart. Afraid that the horror from her past will hunt her down and ruin her life once again. Even though she’s afraid, she still wants revenge on the monster who ruin her life and the life of her little sister. She wanted her sister back and she wanted the monster who made her life a living hell to pay for what he did and get what he deserves. As strange things start to happen, Jade can’t stop but fear that the monster is back to collect her, because every single detail of the events remind Jade of the monster who helped her captive for four years. Will Jade be able to get Benny to justice and make him pay for everything he has done or will she fall back into his clutches again. If you want to know, read Pretty Stolen Dolls.

The only thing I am asking myself now is written is the second book coming out because I can’t wait for it. The cliffhanger in the end, killed me. I need this more than my next breath. So Ker Dukey and K. Webster when the fuck is second book coming out?

Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. We also used to put on performances by acting out stories. I wanted to become an actress from an early age so I could live out many roles but unfortunately I learned early on that my mind was too active…(I would end up wanting to change the script)
I would watch films or TV shows and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so I thought it best that I tell my own.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

REVIEW | This Isn’t Over, Baby by K. Webster

Title: This Isn’t Over, Baby
Author: K. Webster
Series: War & Peace #3
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: August 30th 2016

They’d won the battle and I held up the white flag of defeat…
But the war wasn’t OVER.

I suffered the aching loss of what they had stolen from me.
OVER and OVER again, my heart broke.
The white Queen and the black King had taken OVER the game
and ruled for what seemed like eternity.

Until one day, eternity was finally OVER.

I was the dark knight who would rise again and conquer.
I was the man who would win OVER the most important piece on the board.

A slayer. A protector. A father.
A new king with the blackest of hearts.

And head OVER heels in love with…
The little princess who owned my twisted soul.

Sometimes the villains don’t just want their happy ending…
They demand it.

This isn’t OVER, baby.
This will never be OVER.

This Isn’t Over, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. This story is NOT for everyone.

My Review
5 Villains Need Love, too Stars

In This Is War, Baby and This Is War, Baby we learned a little about Gabriel Sharpe, the bad guy, the devil, the villain, the rapist, and many of us including me wanted a story about Gabe, because why not? Even villains need love and understanding. So when I received the ARC for This Isn’t Over, Baby I was the happiest person in the world, because K. Webster is one of my most favorite dark romance author ever.

Not to reveal to much of the story, I will give you as little as I can, because with a book like this one, everything is a spoiler.

In the very beginning of the story, we get a look into Gabe’s past. We get to see what made Gabe the man he is today. For most of his childhood years he lived in hell his father created, so to escape that hell, he needed to be ruthless, stronger than his father, he needed to become a monster.

For almost nineteen years, he has been watching his daughter grow up without her real father, her biological father. What his daughter never knew was that her father was never far away, always keeping close eye on his baby girl. Until one night changes everything, the night Gabe finds his love, not knowing she’s as crazy as him, Harley Quinn to his Joker.

You know it’s you.
It’s always been you.
You’re my world.

That’s the night the rollercoaster starts, with so many twists and turns that will make your head spin, give you whiplash and engulf you with it’s darkness. In this story, the many question we had are answered but also many of them are thrown in. This Isn’t Over, Baby will succeed your wildest imaginations.

With every K. Webster book, I was more and more impressed. This Isn’t Over, Baby is not what I expected. I didn’t expect the direction this story took. I was blown away. I didn’t even see it coming. Kristi always writes books that are 100% original and with This Isn’t Over, Baby is no different, that’s the one reason why I love Krista’s books but main reason is, that every book I read from her is unlike anything I have ever read. I highly recommend this book to everyone who is open-minded and who loves a good dark romance.

• My favorite quotes •

  • A life without you is no life at all. I can assure you, I will die before you…because I can’t mentally fathom something happening to you or being here without you. My mind would crush in on itself. If you needed to breathe, I’d give my last breathe. All for you, sweet girl.
  • Sometimes we have to hurt the one we love in order to keep them.
  • I’m no longer that girl. Because now I am his. I belong to Hades. I am Persephone.
  • Love is a wicked little creature. It slithers into your life and sinks it’s teeth into you whether you like it or not. Love doesn’t care about social norms and boundaries. Love takes whatever the fuck it wants.
  • Gabe is this dark thunderstorm that came up over my horizon, decimated everything in his path, and swept me away with his torrential presence. Who needs light when the dark nourishes your entire being?
  • I’ll follow you anywhere. Even into the darkness. Especially into the darkness.
  • I mark her as mine because she is. All mine. Even when she’s being a crazy bitch.
  • “I’ll go to hell one day for all of this.”
    “I’ll go with you.”
“You don’t belong in hell, sweet girl. You’re an angel.”
    “I’m no angel.”

My Review
5 Stars!!

You know me, and you know how much I love, adore, worship the amazing duo Alexa Riley. And by now, you know that, that will never change. Her books are heaven, they relax me, give me great joy and I love that everytime I’m reading something from Alexa Riley I have a huge smile on my face and with BRANDING THE VIRGIN was no different.

Branding The Virgin is a cute insta-love story about a former bull rider To and a lonely woman Mary-Jane who wants to have her own little family, and because she can’t find a man to fulfill her dream of having children and a family, she goes and gets artificially inseminated, only to later find out that the donor wasn’t a willing donor and that fertility center made a mistake. Now she fears that if the donor finds out about the child, and that he will take the child away from her. But things don’t goes as she thought they would go, Ty (the donor) is different man than she thought he would be.

From the first moment Ty saw Mary-Jane he knew knew that she was the one for him, and that he will do anything to make her stay on the ranch with him. Mary-Jane made him whole again, after the accident that happened years ago, he couldn’t get hard, but now when Mary-Jane showed up on his ranch, he can. Not knowing that the child in Mary-Jane’s belly is his and that MJ is virgin, he takes her, telling her that she is his and the baby also, and that he doesn’t care for the man that made her pregnant.

I loved Mary-Jane, because she wants to have a family, children. She’s cute and shy and very lovely and I loved Ty because he was a sexy-possessive alpha man who decided to give her just that, the very moment he saw her.

Alexa Riley, keep on writing these amazing and lovely books. And I can’t wait to read your first full-lenght novel, I am so excited for you girls, and very proud.

For the people who never read a Alexa Riley, I just have one question, what rock have you been living under? Get yourself a AR book and enjoy.

REVIEW | A Bloody Kingdom by J. J. McAvoy

Title: A Bloody Kingdom
Series: Ruthless People #4
Author: J. J. McAvoy
Genre: Mafia, Romance
Release Date: July 14th, 2016

It has been eight years since the Callahans defeated Avian Doers and conquered Chicago. Melody is now the Governor and public face of the family, while Liam rises as the Ceann na Conairte of both the Irish and Italians.

Their reach is limitless; their power endless…but is it possible to have too much power? Can Liam and Melody raise a family, a city, and an empire?

Only a fool would try to stop them now….

10000 Ruthless, Bloody Stars!!

The Ruthless Series is my most favorite series ever. And A Bloody Kingdom broke me in a ways I can’t explain. Since I heard about A Bloody Kingdom I was excited because why the hell not, it’s Melody and Liam once again. Once again we see Liam and Melody reign over Chicago with their ruthless hands and twisted minds. As for me, it took me two days to finish this book, why you ask? Because it was brilliant, mind-blowing and a perfect disaster, a very perfect bloody disaster. Since the beginning of the book my heart was beating so fast, I was unable to breath, think and all of that was because of this book. I read every book JJ ever published, lived many lives in her imaginary world, but none of those book {except Sugar Baby Beautiful} could ever compare to A Bloody Kingdom, this book is everything, and I mean it. It has everything it has blood, gore, angst, lust love, family and pain.  With this book, we did not only get into Melody’s and Liam’s mind, but also in the mind of their children, and also the whole Callahan/Giovanni Clan, and so grateful to JJ for giving us this gift. One thing I also hope is that we will get the stories about Ethan, Wyatt and the little princess Donatella.

“You are mine, Liam. You belong to me. Your face, your body, your heart,  your soul, you sold it to me and I sold mine to you. So if I die, you die.  If you die, I die. As long as there is air in lungs, there is air in mine.”

Liam and Melody are back once again, filling our mind with deliciously evil thoughts. They are back with their ruthless ways, but the same rules stayed. Always protect your family, family is the most important part of your life. Liam and Melody are one dynamic couple, always over the top, beyond ruthless and bloody, and since the very beginning I loved them very much. And finally after all the fighting they are getting some ‘peace’ but as Orlando said “Never get comfortable because I will only know peace the day I die.” Both Melody and Liam are focused on the one same thing, owning and running Chicago. Liam being the boss of both Irish and Italian mafia and Melody being the Governor of Illinois, they run Chicago with iron hand. But once they are threatened all the piece they build in the last eight years disappears, and once the family is threatened, its also the time for a bloodbath to comence and it does, it’s ruthless, bloody and painful bloodbath.

“There is no expiration date on vengeance. It doesn’t just last a lifetime, it spans for generations.”

JJ always did a perfect job of sucking you into her imaginary world her world of mayhem and murder. She delivers the story like no one else. She give us unforgettable characters with heart-warming and heart-wrenching drama, action and good old fashioned mafia. As the story unfolds, she has you guessing everything, wishing, hoping, waiting breathlessly for their demise.

“I’m obsessed with you Melody. No matter what you do, I’ll always forgive you. Even if you were to kill me, I’d forgive you.”

The Ruthless People series is a MUST READ for all the mafia romance lovers. It’s a great story, with a amazing plot and complex and lovable characters with so many twists and turns, blood and tears. As I said Ruthless People will forever stay my favorite series ever. I am giving A Bloody Kingdom 10000000 stars

Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.

One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

*A modern love story inspired by Romeo and Juliet*

5 Filthy, Sexy Stars!

First of all, Filthy English is the first book I read by Ilsa Madden-Mills, and all I can ask myself now, is why didn’t I find out about Ilsa earlier.Seems I have fallen in love with Dax. I can’t stop thinking about him, I think that by far Dax is one of my favorite book boyfriends. Actually I can stop thinkig about the whole story itself. I think I have fallin in love with the Brits!!

Remi Montague has had tough few weeks after her engagement was broken off by her groom to be. So she heads to her honeymoon in the the rainy England with her best friend Lulu. She wants to move on and she wants to move on fast, but still she can’t stop thinking about her ex. That’s until she stumbles, and I mean literally stumbles into a lap of gorgeous and mysterious Brit. Little did she know is that, that mysterious and gorgeous male belongs to her past, and that he’s meant to stay in the past.

“Once you’ve had Dax, you never go back.”

I am in love with Dax, in total major love. This man is everything. He’s sexy, he’s caring. Everything. People who read the book will mostly think that Dax is an alpha male from every woman’s fantasy. But he’s much more, he’s sometimes vulnerable but he can still be intimidating. I loved Dax and his background, he actually broke me when he told Remi about his past. Even though he and Remi are total opposite and college nemesis, they still attracted to one other. He’s a Tau and Remi is an Omega, and Tau and Omegas never mix, but Dax couldn’t keep his hands to himself, he had to have her because she was his, because to him Remi was the one girl who’d blew his mind and scared the shit out of him.

“She was my light, my breath. She was my Juliet. Only we’d have a happy ending. I’d make sure of it..”

I still can’t get this book out of my head, and I still regret not finding about this author sooner, I really regret. Filthy English was wonderful. It was sexy and oh so emotional. There were a few moments in the book that really frustrated me, but those moments were really tiny, so it didn’t really affect my love for this book. I was happy and I was sad, but overall I loved. Even though this book progresses slowly and is filled with angst, it was those things that kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more and more. Highly recommended to all. HEA guaranteed!!!

Damage Me is a story about second chances at life and true love. Shana’s writing still is exquisite and astonishing, i love the way she captured the pain and the lost the both main character feel. Damage Me is one of a kind story. Actually the title of the book says what it has done to me, it damaged me, I was left speechless by the end of the book, I had no words, just tears in my eyes. I fell so deep into this book that I was drowning in my feelings. Just because Damage Me I can’t wait for more books by the amazing Shana Vanterpool.

“Dylan Meyer wasn’t just a safe zone anymore. He was the only zone I wanted.”

Dylan is a warrior a fighter, but all he wants to do now is give up. After returning from his tour in Afghanistan, he spends time in hospital, because of his wounds. Convinced that there is no life for him, his girlfriend left him for his best friend, he can’t see his little daughter grow up, because baby mama doesn’t allow it. So all he wants is to give up, there are only two choices for him, get better and see his daughter or get worse and never see his daughter again. Dylan is a very emotional character, he played with my heart and with my emotions. Even though he was vulnerable, sexy, tattooed badass, there was one thing that annoyed me about him, and that’s that he though of himself as a bad person. I think that by far, Dylan is one of best characters in Crystal Gulf world.

“I was an angel before my fall, and I could still fly with my scarred wings.”

Hillary is a good girl, she follows all the rules her mother made for her. She wasn’t supposed to go to the party, she shouldn’t have listened to her friend, but she did and that night that party change her whole life and her whole prespective. She lost trust in people, and that night she found out that people can lie, can stab you in the back if you don’t look. The only person she can trust is Dylan and only person she feels safe around is Dylan. But can two people damaged beyond repair fix each other and build a future for themself?

I give this book FIVE STARS and all I can say is that I cried so much, and felt so much during the reading of this book. This book is an emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every minute of this rollercoaster. Recommended to everyone. I hope you love it as much as I did.

5 Stars!

This is the first book I have ever read by Shanora Williams, and somehow I know it won’t be the last. Doomsday Love is all about second chance at love. I read this book under two days, yes it’s long but it’s worth it, it’s very beautiful and very emotional. This book is one of a kind. It’s sexy, sweet, lovely, cheesy and yet so heartbreaking. Drake is one of kind bad-boy and Jenny is one of a kind good girl. Both from the different parts of the world, poor and rich, the bad and the good. I was drawn in immediately from the very beginning til the very end. I loved it. I love how we got to see the both sides of the story, I love the alternation between the past and the present. It starts with the past, of how Drake and Jenny met, how they became friends, how they became lovers and it ends with the present, giving us clues of how they separated, what drove them apart and what ultimately brought them together.

Since the loss of his mother, all Drake knows is to fight. Everyday is fighting to survive, and fighting to make end meet. Even though the years have passed since the day her brother committed suicide, the event still haunts Jenny from time to time, her brother was her best friend, her shoulder to cry on, he was her everything. Jenny knew of Drake when she was little, but she never officially met him, and that’s until they were partnered up in fifth grade. When their classmates start gossiping about Drake, and talking bad things about him, Jenny decided to defend Drake, and the moment Drake heard her defend him, that’s when he decided that he wanted to be friends with her. And so on every recess Jenny and Drake would swing in the school yard, they became good friends and Jenny gave him, her brothers cross necklace as a sign of her friendship. And they were friends until Jenny was send to a private school. There she met Kylie, who became her best friend. After a while Jenny decided to return to the public school she used to go to, even though her parents disagreed. That’s when Jenny and Drake meet again. Even though Jenny wants more, Drake can’t give her that, so he pushes her away, not wanting to her feelings and in process hurt his, if she found out the truth and left him. That’s until the day, he sees her at one of his fights at the Dirty Dawg Pit. They lock eyes and Drake can see the fear in Jenny’s eyes, so he thinks that’s it. When they by chance meet at a little restaurant close to the Dirty Dawg Pit, Jenny pushes him away, but he can’t let her get away so he follows her and finally after so much time, he kisses her, the kiss is not what he expected but from that moment on all he can think about is Jenny. That’s when they start dating. Their relationship goes amazing until one day changes all for them.

Now, in the present, a few years have passed since the last time Jenny and Drake heard of each other. Jenny is in Las Vegas with her so called ‘boyfriend’, when she reunites with Kylie who begs her to attend a fight with her, but Jenny declines because she knows that if she goes to the fight, she will have to face Drake. But when her so called ‘boyfriend’ forces her to go with him, she can’t deny, because she knows what will happen if she says no. Drake Davenport, now a famous professional wrestler never expected to see the love of his life at one of his match, curled under other man’s arms. He still remembers Jenny, she still is his love, so when he sees that guy putting his arm around his woman, he finishes the match in under 3 seconds, only thinking about Jenny’s boyfriend, while beating his opponent. After the match he asks her to met with him, and she goes, but only because of the cross, the cross she once gave to Drake for safe keeping. When Drake asks Jenny to spend her remaining days in Las Vegas with him, she accepts and once again they are back into each other arms, safe in each other embraces. So what will happen when Drake finds out the secret Jenny has been keeping from him since the day they reunited in Las Vegas?

Highly recommended to everyone who loves books about second chance and true love. This book is a FIVE STARS read for me. Hopefully you will enjoy the book as much as I did.

REVIEW | Sacred Hart by A. M. Johnson

Title: Sacred Hart
Author: A. M. Johnson
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 13, 2016

Sleep, it was luxury I didn’t have.
I could hear it then, in the dark light of night, in the dusky morning…
The click of the trigger, the smell of her blood, the sound of the rain.
I never thought I would see her again.
She was a ghost.
She was dead.
When Maggie Wright pushed her way into my life, she brought the phantom with her, and I was helpless to her pull.
Everything I had, all of it, had been taken from me ten years ago. I had nothing but the shirt on my back, the memories that still burned through my veins, and the regret I drowned in every day.
I am Ryan Hartford…and I have nothing left to lose.

5 STARS!!!

SACRED HART is one of the most heartbreaking story I have ever read. And this wonderful, breathtaking book releases on June 13th. I have had the pleasure to read this book before the release, and I am very thankful that I received the ARC from A. M. Johnson. Sacred Hart is the second book I’ve read by her, and the first one was Beneath The Vine that she wrote under her other pen-name Lillian Bryant. I have never read such a beautiful story. I cried and I smiled throughout the book. I wanted to hug Ryan so much, so he can realize that he’s not alone. My heart broke for him so much. He’s such a good man, who didn’t deserve to go through what he went through. His whole life is ruined, and he’s lost, but he doesn’t deserve that, he deserves everything good that he can get.

This story is about a man who lost everything, and now he’s left broken, with no hope of ever find the missing pieces of his heart’s puzzle. Ever simce the horrific event ten years ago, he’s a changed man, a broken man. In every waking and sleeping hour he remember ever detail of the horrible day that changed his life completely. Everyday is worse than the last. So when he meets Maggie, he doesn’t know what do expect, so he pushes Maggie and her daughter Beth away. So many things about Beth reminded Ryan of the day he lost everything. So he pushes Maggie away, but he doesn’t expect Maggie to push back, to want more from him, even after he told her everything about himself, about his previous and what drove him here, he though she would judge him and leave him, but she didn’t, she stayed by him. Even though he had so many flaws, she still loved him with all her heart. So she fought for her man.

From the very beginning, til the very end I was in love with the story. Sacred Hart is an emotional rollercoaster, sometimes it squeezes your heart so tight, you can drown in your tears and sometimes it lets you fly above the clouds, so utterly drugged on the love between Maggie and Ryan…This story is about second chances and finding love and family once again. This story for me is a FIVE STAR read and I highly recommend it to everyone. And I hope you read it as soon as possible. I know you will fall in love as I did.

I’m originally from Florida. I now live in Utah where I am a Full-Time Nurse. I am, however, always first a mother and wife. I began to love reading at a very young age and have toyed with the idea of writing ever since I can remember. I have written lots of bad poetry and have started several stories, but will have my first completed novel published in 2015.
I love all things romance!! I am inspired by the indie romance community as a whole and embrace the title book whore with great pride!

REVIEW | Your Mess Is Mine by Stephanie Alba

Title: Your Mess is Mine
Author: Stephanie Alba
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Adult
Release Date: May 31, 2016

I don’t trust people who follow their hearts.

Hearts are peculiar things. They’re necessary muscles that keep us alive by pumping blood and oxygen into our veins. Hearts are also compulsory, often making us foolish. They pull us towards others with a force that aches, burns, and satiates you all at once.

Before you know it that mass of tissue is no longer yours.

Maybe mine never was.

In my case, that draw came from a stranger that left my heart feeling both fulfilled and consumed.

I didn’t expect to fight her for the last standby seat to New York City. I didn’t plan on letting her get under my skin. Or the way her vulnerability tore me up inside and compelled me to care for her. She didn’t plan on letting me witness her chaos.

Her anxious heart and my perfectionist mind let things get messy.

And though we didn’t plan for it, our interrupting of each others’ lives was exactly what we needed.

Sometimes the mess is the most beautiful part of life.

5 STARS!!!

When I found out about this book, I was super excited to read another book by the amazing Stephanie Alba, ( still slightly obsessing over how good Perfectly Aligned was, and still is.) There are many differences in writing, I think that Perfectly Aligned is almost a polar opposite to Your Mess Is Mine.

Your Mess Is Mine is a beautiful journey of love, understanding and overcoming difficulties. This story is about real, true love, that is sometimes funny and sexy and sometime it’s bare and honest. This story shines a light on something that is mostly ignored in the society. The story and the character were beautifully written and well-developed. When I started this book, I fell so deeply in love with the story and the character. Hudson is a sweetheart, a sexy sweetheart. And Margo is a strong, but yet a troubled woman.

Both Hudson and Margo are on their way to New York City, to attend an important meeting. Their first meeting a huge disaster, fighting over who gets a sit on the plane. Even though they fight the first time they meet. They still can’t keep their eyes from each other. As fate should have it, they ended sitting next each other on flight to New York. As the flight departs from the airport, they talk and connect. But when the plane lands in NY, they depart from each other, only to end up in the same hotel and same place the day after. On their second day in NY they end up having sex, amazing mindblowing sex that leaves them both wanting more. Hudson leaves for San Francisco the day after. After a few days without Margo, he realizes that he’s obsessed with her, so he gets his boss to send him to NY for work.

When he arrives to New York, he goes straight to Margo. After that day, Hudson starts going back and forward between San Francisco and New York, even though his job in NY is over. Until one day Margo stops answering to his calls, text after she promised that she will come to San Francisco. So Hudson goes to her, only to discover a secret that Margo tried so hard to keep hidden.

This book is a FIVE STAR read. Everyone should read this, everyone needs to read the story of Hudson and Margo. Amazing and emotional read. Everyone should get their copies. Enjoy ❤

REVIEW | The Anatomy Of Jane by Amelia LeFay

Title: The Anatomy Of Jane
Series: WJM #1
Author: Amelia LeFay
Genre: Contemporary Romance, M/M Romance, Menage
Release Date: May 31, 2016

I’ve always been on my own. My life used to consist of nothing but work, keeping Allen out of trouble, and if I had time, sleep. Then I became their maid.

Every day more than half a million people tune in to watch my show. They trust me. I know it’s because I’m the only son of the prominent Emerson family. However, I like to believe it because I’m honest no matter what story I report on. I’m honest about everything but the man I’ve been f**king for the last four years… and now her.

First I want three things: First Maxwell Emerson and Jane Chapman both in my bed. Second, to be the best bloody chef in the country. Third, to figure out how to simultaneously get the first and second things I want without any of us getting hurt.

The Anatomy of Jane is a novel by Amelia LeFay aka JJ McAvoy. The Anatomy of Jane is a debut novel and the first book in the WJM series. This book is so much different than the rest of the books by JJ. First it’s a M/M romance and menage M/M/F, which is totally amazing. What I loved the most about this book is that the relationship between Maxwell and Wesley was already established, which you can’t find in many books. I loved the chemistry and understanding between Max and Wes. Even though they keep their relationship private, you can see how much they love each other. I love how easily Jane fell in to their lives, making both of the men desire her, want her. And what I hate the most about this book is the fucking cliffhanger in the end, It is a good cliffhanger, it makes me want to read the next book even more.

This story is about Jane, Maxwell and Wesley and their undying love for each other. Before working as a maid, Jane was working in a stripper bar (she wasn’t a stripper), she helped strippers with their costumes, worked behind the bar etc etc. When her friend and the owner of the bar ends in debt to the huge loan shark, he puts her name on the paper as the co-owner of the bar. So to, pay the debt, Jane starts working as a maid. Everyday, for more than a month, she would clean the same apartment, never knowing who the owner is. But what she never expected was to stumble upon two man having sex, and also she didn’t expect to get aroused by the two man. But when she gets caught creeping, she runs home. She still can’t get the two men of her mind. She fears that she got fired so when she is called to work again for them, she accept and goes. What she didn’t expect was that the two men wanted her between them, sharing their bed. After pursuing her for a while, she accepts the proposition, and the three of them start their forbidden affair. They only had three rules for her and she had only one for them:

Their rules:
1) She can’t just leave. Either call or text.
2) They can spoil her with gifts from time to time. She can’t object.
3) No one but them

Her rule:
4) No screwing her while the other one isn’t around.

Maxwell and Wesley have been in a secret relationship for more than four years. Both of them with an outstanding career, and both of them hiding from what they truly want. When they first caught Jane watching them have sex, Wesley realized that he wanted her. It took sometime for Maxwell to realize it too. When Maxwell accepted the idea of Jane sharing their bed, he and Wesley went after her. Their forbidden relationship was a secret, only the three of them knowing about it. The public only knew that Jane and Maxwell were engaged. After some times spent with Wesley and Maxwell and family trouble. Jane realized that she was in love with both of them. So what happens when an accident tears them apart?

This book, for me was a FIVE STAR read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes menage, M/M, M/M/F books, and overall to anyone likes romance. This is debut novel by Amelia and I can’t wait for all of you to get your own copy. Enjoy ❤

Who am I?

You might already know. I’m an author writing under a new penname. If you think you know who I am, you can message me on Facebook or Twitter. I’ll gift you one of my other novels (signed). However, you must keep my secret.

Amelia LeFay is a character of my own imagination. She’s a single woman in her mid twenties in love with sex. Dirty sex, rough sex, sex of any type. She’s not a whore or a slut. She believes a woman should be aloud to sexually express herself anyway she wishes.

She stands for Gay Rights, Women’s Rights, the rights of Minorities, and Environmental protection.

She can be a bitch but doesn’t think there is anything wrong with that.

She has uneven boobs, stretch marks on her ass, astigmatism, and thighs that rub together as she walks. (Which means no pair of jeans last as long as she wishes they would.)

But most importantly Amelia is a Dreamer…she has dreams so big it scares even her, because if she fails…if she can’t make it…she feels like nothing.

5 Emotional Love Stars!

Even before I started this book. I knew that it would be something special. And if I am honest with you all. I can tell you, that I never read a book like this one. Ever since I started reading I always read book about sex, love, lust, second-chance love. But this book is so much more, so much more. I was actually really surprised of how much I loved this. I dived in head first, not really worrying about my heart. And once I started reading it, I couldn’t get out, not that I really tried. I wanted to stay in this book forever.I never really read a book by A. J. Compton, and now I regret that I didn’t find out about this author earlier.

After going in and out of hospital for many years, Ava Malone lost hope that one day she will receive a heart transplant that she desperately needed, to survive. In her last minutes in the world of the living, doctors wake her up telling her that a heart was found for her. After having the heart transplant, Ava starts living her new life to the fullest. She and her buddy from hospital/best friend Finn move in together and started living the life they never could. do to their previous illness. She meets new people, does new stuff, experiences new things.

What Ava never expected was to find love. She never expected to fall deeply, passionately in love. One day, while jogging she meets Gabriel. Her first thought about him was, that he was grumpy, but still it draws her in. And the more time she spend with him, the more she falls in love with him. After finding out that Gabriel was a poet, and after reading his painfully heartbreaking and beautiful poetry, she realizes that there is more to Gabriel then she first though. His poetry makes her heart beat faster, and she feels the ache , that wasn’t there before. But she never realized that the person she fell so deeply in love, was the person that would break her heart in million little pieces. Will she be able to forgive him and move on from the secret that Gabriel kept from her. You will find out after you are done reading this amazing book.

What surprised me to most was that I liked that there weren’t any major sex scenes, which is totally new for me.. I highly recommend this book to every one who would love to read a book about second chances at life, yes life, but don’t worry there is also love. This is a five star read, and if I could I would give it million stars, and more.

ARC provided to me by the author for an honest review.

A.J. Compton wants a lot of things;

To write books that make you think and feel deeply.

To make you ugly cry and cry with laughter. In the same book.

To write stories that cause you to be anti-social and have you staying up late to finish them.

To show that life can be cruel and difficult, but it can also be incredibly beautiful and worthwhile.

And what A.J. really wants, is to write books that make you remember why you love to read.

A.J. knows better than most that we don’t always get what we want in life, but is going to give it a damn good try

REVIEW | Dex by Stephanie Witter

Title: DEX
Series: Kinky Shine #1
Author: Stephanie Witter
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Erotica, Music
Release Date: May 3, 2016

She succeeded in making him feel like a man. A normal functioning man when he hadn’t felt that way in years.

“Who’re you f*cking?”

When my father, manager of the worldwide phenomenon Kinky Shine, asked me to come and help the band members appear more approachable I never thought my first meeting with Dex Bowers would start with such a question.

Immediately, I wanted to strangle him, wipe the smirk off his face and force him to mutter more than three words.

But there’s something mysterious about him that was electrifying and the more he pushed me away and angered me, the more I wanted to know him and push through his hangups.

“Trust. That f*cking trust thing didn’t come easily to me.”

In the five years since my band became famous, not once had I been photographed with a woman. I knew it fed the supposed mystery surrounding me, but the real truth was far more humiliating than I was comfortable with.

That was until Harley Floyd walked in and I was left with a mind numbing lust for her that scared me shitless. It should be easy to let go and trust her just enough to have fun, to be happy I could finally come up with new material for our next album. But nothing was easy and with a life made of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll I wasn’t sure if anything could last. Not even my band.

“What twenty-five year old was f*cking lost when his cock was rock hard when close to a gorgeous woman?  One answer to that; a man who hadn’t had sex in a really long time.”

My Review
5 Rockstar Read!

DEX by Stephanie Witter is a rockstar book. But it’s unlike any rockstar novel ever. And Dex is unlike any rockstar ever. He’s not a playboy, not a cheater. But he’s a little bit insecure about his sexuality. He can’t get it up for any woman since he was teenager, because the bad experience in the past. So when he meets Harley Floyd, his boss’s daughter, who was hired as the acting PR for his band Kinky Shine, everything changes, his world is turned upside down. The moment he meets Harley, his dick {pardon, my language} gets hard as a stone. When he tells Harley about his ‘disability’, he expects her to laugh at him. But she doesn’t. She instead asks him if wants to try with her. And Dex is more that willing. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for Harley, and he does, he falls pretty hard for her. So when they are on the edge of break-up, he begs her to stay with him, and he announces to the world that he loves Harley Floyd.

This story is completely SAFE, and I recommended to all the lovers of SAFE, HEA books. I really like DEX, no I love him so much. That guy is the owner of my heart. He might have been rude in the beginning, but he ended up pulling me in like a drug, Harley was amazing, she was a tad annoying, but none the least, she was a good person who wanted to help, hoping that in process she won’t lose her heart.

6982524Stephanie Witter is a dreamer. She started learning English at three and fell in love with the language.

Always with a book, or two close by, she can’t spend a day without reading (or writing).

Between Love & Fire
Series: Backstage Series
Author: Dani René
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 13, 2016

Cerulean eyes pierce me.
A touch that scorches me.
Words that entice me.

With a reputation of the bad boy rock star,
I know he’s bad news.
He’s infuriating, persistent,
and drop dead gorgeous.
The man that has
women’s underwear dropping,
with a click of his fingers,
has his sights set on one woman.

I need to keep my distance.
I need to fight the attraction.

Chestnut eyes lure me.
A smile that tempts me.
Words that bait me.

The innocence in her eyes is like a drug.
Her feisty personality is a turn on.
The more she pushes, the more I pull.
I don’t back down from a challenge.
To have her in my bed is what I want.
And I always get what I want.

I need to make her mine.
I need to make her see the real me.

My Review
5 Love me til it hurts, Stars!

Both of them are scarred, damaged and used. Some scars are deeper than the other. Some are physical and some emotional. Can two damaged angels find a way to fix each other, and love each other as much as they can? That was the question I asked my self when I started the book, and the answer I got is the exactly the answer I wanted. And yes, two damaged angels can fix each other. By the time I finished the book, I realized how much I loved it, how much i connected to it. This story is one of a kind. It has it’s sad moments, and also it has it’s happy moments.

We all know that Callum was screwed the moment he met Tayla, her playing hard to get, drew Callum even closer without Tayla realizing that Callum had it bad for her. She occupied his mind every single day. And in the end one thing lead to another, and she was in his arms, feeling safer than she ever did. With Callum, she realized that she deserved the best in the world, even she was, at first, convinced that she’s nothing, and that once Callum knew her secrets, saw her scars, that he would rejected her. But Callum had something else on his mind. He accepted her for who she is. And he loved her with every part of his heart.

And now, let’s get on the SEXY WAGON, first thing I need to say is WOW, damn you Dani. I wasn’t expected the sexy scenes to be so good damn HOT. Which they were, every single one of them. There are few of my favorites. But the one that does it for me is the balcony scene in Paris 😉

So for the end note, I have to say that I really loved this book. I loved every part of it. My five stars go to this amazing book, which I recommend to everyone. Read it and love it. And know that there is someone who will LOVE YOU no matter what.

Hey darlings,

I am an indie author and freelance graphic designer. I started focusing on writing in January 2015 and after a few fan fiction stories, I decided to publish Ace of Harts it was my first full length novella. On a daily basis I have a few hundred characters, storylines, and ideas floating around in my mind. If I am not on Pinterest or Instagram looking for my next muse, you can find me on Twitter or Facebook. So head on over, I love meeting new readers and authors.

When I am in the cave, I am happiest. If you can’t find me sitting behind my trusty MacBook writing about hot alpha males, I am probably drinking coffee at a coffee shop, or wine tasting one of the few hundred wine farms in my home city of Cape Town, in South Africa.

I have an addiction to reading (who doesn’t?), TV series, music, tattoos, chocolate, and ice cream. I am constantly looking for a new book to get lost in and new book boyfriend to fall in love with. My favorite authors include – M Never, K Webster, KL Kreig, Meghan March, and that’s just to name a few!

Much love xo
