MY REVIEW
5 STARS!!!

An all-consuming raw tale!

Ella left emotionally drained as she took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with this book. I held onto every word, every emotion and love, that was pouring off the page of this book. Ms. Fox was able to steal the hearts of romance fans as she weaved a sweet, gentle, and touching love story of two people reunited after the deaths of their siblings.

Fourteen-year-old Keely Carmichael had one person in her young life she could count on for normalcy and support – Ronan Sharpe. Following the death of her mother, she had no choice but to grow up fast. With a father who largely ignored her and made it painfully clear that she was a distant second to her half-sister, Izzy, a sister who couldn’t – and didn’t – tolerate her, she was barely an afterthought at home. The only bright spot in her young life was her friendship with her older neighbor, Ronan. It was, that is, until he suddenly showed up on her doorstep on his way out of town to say goodbye
.
Ronan left his hometown and didn’t look back. Estranged from his brother, he is shocked when sudden news force him to return. He had no interest in wanting to be part of his adoptive family’s life. But when he gets a phone call that his brother, Will had died along with his wife and that his niece had survived the car accident, Ronan’s carefree life was about to change.

There, he will meet the teenage girl he left behind years ago. Keely has blossomed into a beautiful young woman but she is not happy. When an accident-and deception-leaves her to raise a baby that isn’t hers, she will need help but she is determined to be a good mother.
Ronan is there to help her and they will have to work together to save a tiny life. The attraction is mutual and love is not too far behind. Even though he thought he was man who never expected to be part of a family, Ronan finds himself creating a family with Keely and his niece, Emma. He becomes more protective, supportive and the one person that Keely and Emma can count on. Living within the close confines of Keely’s tiny studio apartment, working together as a parental team, and Ronan realizes that the little neighbor girl is now a knock-out, wreak havoc on his emotions. He’s wildly attracted to Keely and falling deeper in love with the baby every day, and Keely, she was battling with her own feelings for Ronan. While bonding together as parents, their feelings for each other grow even stronger.

Ronan tries to work through his issues before he can really embrace the feelings he has for Keely. His main issue is the fact that she is so much younger than him. but as he sees, that even though Keely is only nineteen, she is very mature for her age. It is Keely who put her age in perspective for Ronan, and showed him that age doesn’t matter, and also the wise words from his friend Canter. And Ronan takes the leap of faith, he had never planned to.

This is a sweet, slightly angsty story about two people whose connection is through a tiny baby. I loved watching Ronan find his way on taking care of Emma and Keely was just what I expected her to be strong and unwavering in her decisions It’s a sweet friends-to-lovers story, written in dual POV’s with sweetness overload, Ronan is just the man every woman wants, and Keely is an amazing person. I highly recommend it to everyone.
